I majored in Public Relations with a minor in Business and the International Minor in Human Sciences at Auburn University. My expected graduation date is May 2016. Through my coursework at Auburn, I have learned much about public relations, research, business, marketing and life as a whole. The part of my education at Auburn that I am most grateful for is the fact that several of our classes included work with clients outside of the university. This meant real world experience with real world organizations which gave me a tremendous advantage when I began my marketing and public relations internship in the fall of 2015 and I think it will prove incredibly useful in my future career as well.
In addition, I took part in the Joseph S. Bruno Auburn Abroad in Italy program in the fall of 2014. It was a 12-week study abroad program located in Ariccia, Italy, a small village outside of Rome. The program was structured so that two days a week we heard lectures from local experts on Italian art, food, music, life and more. The other two days a week were field trips, touring Italy and visiting the locations we learned about during the lectures. Words cannot describe how rewarding this type of learning experience was for me. In addition, we had the rest of the week off for personal travel, and I got to expand my trip outside of Italy to Greece, Germany and the Czech Republic. For the semester, I obtained Auburn's International Minor in Human Sciences.
